Plot

In this 3rd installment Alex’s interest for Ninja missions is starting to vanish. He’ll rather spend his time with his friends and Checkered Ninja feels he is overlooked and is eager to engage in a new mission. The result of this is that Alex, by accident, ends up having a conflict with Marco, the bad boy boyfriend of Jessica, entangling him in a conflict he hasn’t asked for and he is pressured by Checkered Ninja to defend himself.

Checkered Ninja 3 (Danish: Ternet Ninja 3) is a 2025 Danish adult animated urban fantasy action comedy film directed by Anders Matthesen and Thorbjørn Christoffersen, and based on Matthesen's book of the same name, which was published in 2024. It is the sequel to Checkered Ninja 2 and the third and final film in the trilogy. It was released on August 21, 2025, and received positive reviews. The two previous Checkered Ninja films are among the most popular Danish films in recent times, with approximately 900,000 tickets sold each.
