Plot

NYPD Detective Danny Reagan takes a job with the Boston PD and is paired with Detective Lena Silver, part of a law enforcement family comprised of District Attorney Mae Silver, Police Superintendent Sarah Silver, rookie cop Jonah Silver and Rev. Edwin Peters. Reagan hopes to reconnect with his son, Sean, in Boston.

About Boston Blue

Boston Blue is an American police procedural drama television series that premiered on October 17, 2025, on CBS. Executive produced by and starring Donnie Wahlberg, the series is a spin-off of Blue Bloods focusing on his character of Danny Reagan, who moves from New York City to Boston and subsequently takes a position at the Boston Police Department alongside his son Sean, who is initially a rookie patrol officer. CBS ordered Boston Blue direct-to-series in February 2025, inheriting the former Friday-night time slot of Blue Bloods following its series finale. In December 2025, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 9, 2026.
