Plot

Restless in the Florida Keys, Etta Tiger Jonze dreams of a life in Miami's glittering, sub-tropical kingdom. When her family's drug-running business shatters in tragedy, however, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami's neon-lit underbelly that will define who she is and what she's ultimately capable of.

About M.I.A.

M.I.A. is an American crime drama television series created by Bill Dubuque for Peacock. Karen Campbell serves as the showrunner of the series, with Shannon Gisela starring as Etta Tiger Jonze, a young woman from the Florida Keys who goes after the cartel that murdered her family. The nine-episode series was released on Peacock on May 7, 2026. Reviews were mixed, but the series topped Peacock's U.S. streaming chart on its first day. In September 2026, the series was canceled after one season.
