Plot

Wealthy entrepreneur Bruce Wayne and his ward Dick Grayson lead a double life: they are actually crime fighting duo Batman and Robin. A secret Batpole in the Wayne mansion leads to the Batcave, where Police Commissioner Gordon often calls with the latest emergency threatening Gotham City. Racing to the scene of the crime in the Batmobile, Batman and Robin must (with the help of their trusty Bat-utility-belt) thwart the efforts of a variety of master criminals, including The Riddler, The Joker, Catwoman, and The Penguin.

About Batman

Batman is an American superhero comedy television series created by William Dozier based on the DC Comics character of the same name that aired on ABC for three seasons and 120 episodes from January 12, 1966, to March 14, 1968. It stars Adam West as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Burt Ward as Dick Grayson/Robin—two crime-fighting heroes who defend Gotham City from a variety of archvillains. Known for its camp style and upbeat theme music, as well as its intentionally humorous, simplistic morality aimed at its preteen audience, the show aired twice weekly during the first two seasons, and weekly for the third. A companion feature film was released in 1966 between the first and second seasons of the show. Batman had the most episodes of a superhero television series (120 episodes) until it was surpassed by Smallville in 2007 (217 episodes).
