Plot

When they were boys, Sam and Dean Winchester lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America ... and he taught them how to kill it. Now, the Winchester brothers crisscross the country in their '67 Chevy Impala, battling every kind of supernatural threat they encounter along the way.

About Supernatural

Supernatural is an American dark fantasy television series created by Eric Kripke that ran for 15 seasons. It premiered on The WB on September 13, 2005, moved to The CW in 2006, and ended on November 19, 2020. Starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, the show follows brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, who hunt ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. Throughout the series, they battle angels and demons while trying to save the world and prevent the Apocalypse. Guest actors Misha Collins, Mark A. Sheppard, and Mark Pellegrino were promoted to series regulars. The project originated from Kripke's idea of a cross-country road trip and was approved by Warner Bros. It ran for four showrunner periods: Kripke (seasons 1–5), Sera Gamble (seasons 6–7), Jeremy Carver (seasons 8–11), and the duo of Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer (seasons 12–15). The writing is based on a monster-of-the-week concept and incorporates brotherly codependency, Americana, family psychology, Judeo-Christian mythology, and self-referential humor. Production was based in Vancouver, British Columbia, with chiaroscuro cinematography by Serge Ladouceur and an in-house visual effects department to save on costs.
